
Shawn has been with Siemens since its inception early in 1996. Initially the accountant and IT programmer, his background in drilling, trucking and mining sectors enabled him to expand his scope to include customer sales, process development and information technology. Over the years, he has been an active participant in all aspects of the company's growth. He became Operations Manager in 2000.
In 2007, Shawn moved into the role of President and CEO when Siemens was acquired by a U.S. private equity firm. He provides general oversight of operations, sales & service, marketing, strategy, financing, human resources and compliance with safety regulations. He continues to build on the company's unique strengths - advanced CNC and robotic processing and providing JIT supply of component parts, welded assemblies and specialized kits directly to customer production lines as required.
Jose joined the Siemens Laserworks team in 1998, bringing with him over 25 years of experience in sales, business development, and operations management.
Originally headquartered in the Company's head office in Saskatoon, SK, Jose was instrumental in growing and diversifying the Company's customer base and service offerings. In 2005, when Siemens opened their highly-specialized manufacturing facility in Edmonton, AB, Jose relocated and focused on further diversifying the Company's sales in Alberta.
Jose has extensive experience dealing with customers in the Agricultural, Oil & Gas, Mining, and Industrial sectors. His vast knowledge of CNC processing, materials, and supply chain management makes him instrumental in solving complex supply issues for many customers. Jose has an excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing and actively assists in developing and implementing Kanban, vendor-managed inventory, and automated kit replenishment programs for many customers.
Jose has a Business Administration degree from the University of Regina.
Curtis has been with Siemens since 1997. His training and experience, coupled with a strong commitment to quality, lead to steady promotion over the years. He rose from senior operator to shipping/receiving department supervisor, then to production planner/expeditor and finally to production manager/planner. He was promoted to Operations Manager in 2007, and is now responsible for production, human resources, programming, ERP/MRP, new equipment justification and custom value-added Lean programs for major clients.
